On 10 April, a technical term from the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries led by Hon Rose Kagenyi paid a courtesy call to the Uganda Embassy in Beijing. The team is in China under the Sout-South Cooperation Phase 3, which is designed to enhance cooperation between Uganda and China in the field of agriculture.  This collaboration demonstrates a commitment to mutual learning and sharing of agricultural best practices between the two countries.

The Uganda Embassy in China staff members attending a 4 day capacity building training conducted by Human Resource Officials from the Ministry of Froeign Affairs. This training aims to enhance skills and knowledge, promoting professional growth and strengthening the Embassy's capabilities.

On 16th November 2023, Ugandan Ambassador to China, H.E Oliver Wonekha, attended the 2023 Silk Road Women's Forum convened under the theme “Pooling Women’s Strength for Belt and Road Cooperation” in Shaanxi, delivering an inspirational speech on women's empowerment and gender equality, strengthening relations with all countries, and highlighting Uganda's commitment to fostering international collaboration for a more inclusive future.

On October 25, 2023, Her Excellency Oliver Wonekha received a delegation from Busitema University led by Professor Paul Waako, Vice Chancellor of Busitema University and they discussed issues related to higher education, especially in the domains of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Agriculture (STEM & A).

The Ugandan delegation attending the 16th Senior Officials meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) led by the Deputy Secretary to Treasury, Mr. Patrick Ocailap, arrived in Beijing this evening on 22 October 2022 and was received by the Uganda Ambassador to Beijing China Amb. Oliver Wonekha

On 18th Oct 2023, the delegation headed by the Executive Director of the Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU) Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development (MFPED) and CNOOC(U) paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to China. The delegation briefed the Ambassador about Uganda's oil sector. The Ambassador welcomed the delegation to the Embassy and briefed them about the work that the Embassy did and the continued interest of Chinese companies in investing in Uganda.

On 25th September 2023 H.E Ambassador Oliver Wonekha was officially received by the Deputy Secretary of the CPC and Mayor of Dongying City Chen Bichang for the 2023 China (Dongying) Energy Industry International Cooperation Forum in Shandong Province that is scheduled from 25th to 27th September 2023.

On 20th September 2023, H.E Oliver Wonekha met with the Special Envoy for Horn of Africa countries in China, HE Xue Bing during her visit to Shaanxi Province to attend the China - Horn of Africa  Agricultural cooperation workshop.

On the 12th Sept 2023, H.E Amb Oliver Wonekha received Mr Yan and Mr Lee from the China International Import Expo (CIIE) Bureau under the Ministry of Commerce and the organizers of the 6th CIIE that is scheduled in Shanghai from 5th -10th November 2023.

H.E. the Ambassador appreciated the invitation for Uganda to participate in this year's CIIE  to showcase its products and preparations are underway in Uganda to ensure that Uganda fully participates in the event.

On 5th September, H.E. the Ambassador met a delegation from the Alliance of Chinese Business in Africa for Social Responsibilities led by their Chairman. The Ambassador held fruitful discussions with the Delegation and agreed to keep communication alive as the group plans an organize a delegation to Uganda.
