Uganda’s Prime Minister Leads High-Level Delegation to Opening Ceremony of China Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) 12th - 15th June, 2025

Changsha, Hunnan Province, China – 12th June 2025, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, Prime Minister of Uganda, today led a distinguished Ugandan delegation to the CAETE 2025 Opening Ceremony, where Uganda is proudly exhibiting its rich cultural heritage, agricultural innovations, and tourism potential.

Ugandan Minister Addresses FOCAC Meeting, Highlighting Cooperation and Uganda's Development 

They were warmly received by Uganda’s Ambassador to Beijing-China, H.E. Oliver Wonekha at Entebbe International Airport.

The team will explore Uganda’s rich coffee heritage through visits to various coffee-growing farms across the country, promoting investment in Uganda’s coffee sector. 

The Uganda Embassy in Beijing and Uganda Consulate in Guangzhou successfully promote Uganda's cultural heritage, export products and investment opportunities at the 137th Canton Fair in Guangdong. The Uganda booth is currently attracting strong interest from buyers and investors, featuring traditional crafts, agricultural products and information on key investment sectors. A major highlight is the popular Ugandan coffee tasting station, where visitors get to sample the country's premium coffee.

Ugandan Coffee Lands in Henan! A Milestone in Uganda-China Trade Relations

Building on the fruitful discussions during FOCAC sideline engagements, Uganda’s Embassy in Beijing continues to make strides in accessing new markets in China. H.E. Oliver Wonekha, the Ambassador of China to Uganda officiated the unboxing and customs clearance of the first batch of 3 containers (60 tons) of premium Ugandan coffee in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.

The Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in China, in partnership with the Uganda Consulate in Guangzhou and with the strong support of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Commerce, successfully hosted the 1st Uganda–China (Liaoning) Mining and Petroleum Investment Promotion Conference in Shenyang on March 28, 2025.

Uganda-Shenzhen Investment Conference Kicks Off in Shenzhen

The Embassy of Uganda in Beijing and the Consulate in Guangzhou, in partnership with the Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau, are hosting the Uganda-Shenzhen Investment Conference today, November 26, 2024, in Shenzhen. The event has gathered over 300 representatives from prominent Chinese companies eager to explore lucrative investment opportunities in Uganda.

Uganda showcased its rich selection of premium products, including its internationally renowned coffee, which has become a key export to the Chinese market.

Beijing, China – Uganda’s vibrant cultural heritage and exceptional tourism potential were on full display today at the renowned Kempinski Hotel in Beijing, as the Uganda Embassy in Beijing, under the stewardship of H.E. Ambassador Oliver Wonekha, and the Consulate General in Guangzhou, represented by Amb. Judyth Nsababera, hosted the eagerly awaited "Explore Uganda" Independence celebration.
