The Uganda Embassy in Beijing and the Uganda Consulate General in Guangzhou are holding a joint Staff Retreat from August 5-10, 2024.

The Uganda Embassy in Beijing and the Uganda Consulate General in Guangzhou have joined forces for a monumental staff retreat aimed at combining efforts to promote Uganda’s interests in China, especially economic and Commercial Diplomacy.

The joint staff retreat is taking place in Shenzhen city. It will provide a unique opportunity for staff members from both the embassy and consulate general to come together, share insights, and strategize on ways to further contribute to Uganda’s Development through attracting FDI, access to the Chinese market for Uganda’s agricultural products, and promotion of Uganda as the best tourist destination for the Chinese.

In addition to the productive retreat sessions, on August 05, 2024, H.E. Oliver Wonekha, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the Peoples Republic of China, had the privilege of meeting with the Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office and the Deputy Director-General of the Commerce Department of Shenzhen.

These high-level discussions underscored the commitment of the Uganda Embassy and Consulate General to advancing bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for collaboration in various fields.

The retreat will also serve as a platform for staff members to engage in team-building activities and professional development opportunities, further solidifying the bond between the embassy and consulate general teams.
