H.E Oliver Wonekha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ugandan to the People’s Republic of China joined other Ambassadors to a field trip to Xinjiang Region organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China as an initiative to further promote China-Africa cooperation, to learn through a field trip, of the economic and social development of Xinjiang Urgur Autonomous Region, to promote the communication and cooperation between Xinjiang and Africa. 

During the meeting with the Provincial leaders, areas of mutual interest between Xinjiang and Africa/ Uganda were discussed. The Visit took place from 1st to 5th February 2023.
