Uganda Confirms Deadline For Phasing Out of Old Passports

The government of Uganda has confirmed the phasing out old passports in favour of the new electronic passport
 The Government of Uganda through the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control (DCIC) has issued a statement confirming 4th April 2022 as the deadline date for phasing out the old machine-readable passports.

The Embassy therefore reminds all Ugandans living in the People's Republic of China to process their new e-passports ahead of the deadline date to avoid a last-minute stampede that may cause unnecessary delays.
